Zusammenfassung
Der Begriff der sozialen Evolution thematisiert die Entwicklung und den langfristigen Wandel gesellschaftlicher Organisationsformen, wobei historisch nachgewiesene Strukturformen ökonomisch, technologisch, sozialstrukturell und/oder kulturell unterschiedenen Entwicklungsstadien, -stufen oder -niveaus subsumiert werden. Theorien der sozialen Evolution fokussieren sich auf Fragen nach den Triebkräften, den Prozessmechanismen und einer eventuellen Logik der Entwicklung (Meleghy & Niedenzu, 2003; Sanderson, 1990; Sanderson & Alderson, 2005).
