Zusammenfassung
Einen Fürsprecher haben die Sozialwissenschaften in dem französischen Philosophen Jacques Rancière wahrlich nicht gewonnen. Sein grundsätzlicher Vorwurf lautet, dass sozialwissenschaftliche Analysen soziale Strukturen nicht einfach neutral abbilden, sondern performativ an deren Verfestigung mitwirken, ihre Beschreibungen mithin Festschreibungen der sozialen Ordnung vollziehen und folglich nur das bestätigen, was der soziologische Blick sehen will. Rancières Urteil ist rigoros: Die Sozialwissenschaften, auch die ihrem Selbstverständnis nach kritischen Ansätze, sind Teil der herrschaftlichen Ordnung.
