Zusammenfassung
Im Vergleich mit den in Ostafrika lebenden Vor- und Urmenschen traten bei den anatomisch modernen Menschen vor einigen zehntausend Jahren eine Hand voll kategorial neuer Phänomene auf: die Herstellung komplexer Werkzeuge und Waffen, Kleidung und Kunst sowie ein Sprachsystem. Zum Vergleich: Der Homo erectus streifte rund zwei Millionen Jahre durch Afrika und Asien und drang sogar bis nach Europa (Georgien) vor. Er existierte ungefähr 10-mal länger als der Homo sapiens bisher und behauptete sich damit lange Zeit erfolgreich in seiner Umwelt.
