Zusammenfassung
Die bildbezogene Selbstthematisierung mittels digitaler Kommunikationstechnologien ist ein zentrales Kulturmuster der spätmodernen Gesellschaft. Vor diesem Hintergrund wirft der Beitrag die Frage auf, ob und auf welche Weise sich die Praktiken der Identitätskonstruktion im Rahmen der Ausweitung der neuen digitalen und interaktiven Medien verändern. Vor diesem Hintergrund untersucht der Beitrag das Spannungsfeld normalisierender Praktiken der Mediatisierung und der De-Mediatisierung am Beispiel der visuellen Selbstthematisierungen auf Online-Plattformen.
