Zusammenfassung
Von einer ‚Psychologie der Filmmusik‘, also übergeordneten wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen zur Wirkung von Filmmusik, kann bisher kaum gesprochen werden, obwohl einige theoretische Modelle und eine Vielzahl an empirischen Studien vorliegen. Dies hat vor allem mit dem bisher häufig fehlenden Austausch verschiedener Wissenschaftsdisziplinen zu tun, aber auch damit, dass Forschungen oft ohne Rückgriff auf vorliegende Ergebnisse geschahen und dass es vielfach ein einem gemeinsamen Kanon an Fachbegriffen mangelt. Der vorliegende Beitrag gibt einen umfassenden Überblick über theoretische Modelle und neuere Forschungen in Bezug auf filmmusikalische Wirkungen.
