Zusammenfassung
Spielprinzipien halten in den verschiedensten (per se spielfremden) Bereichen Einzug. Auch die Arbeitswelt setzt auf spielerische Herangehensweisen etwa zur Motivationsförderung. Darüber hinaus bietet sich insbesondere das Genre der Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) als Blaupause für die Organisationsführung in unsicheren Zeiten an. Denn die Herausforderungen an Unternehmenslenker und MMOG-Spieler weisen nicht wenige Parallelen auf. Auch nehmen virtuelle Spielwelten die tägliche Wirklichkeit von Unternehmen der modernen Wissensökonomie vorweg. Werden Spiele als Handlungsräume begriffen, können sie effektiv den Führungsherausforderungen unter Unsicherheit begegnen: Denn Spiele sind perfekte Kommunikations-, Lern-, Experimentier- und Simulationsräume; zudem ist Spielen immanent, Komplexität zu reduzieren und große, unübersichtliche Aufgaben in zu bewältigende Aufgabenhappen aufzubrechen. Um diese Potenziale von Gamification zu heben, braucht es wohlüberlegtes Game Design.
