Reclaiming the Right to the Green City: Aktuelle urbane Grünraumbewegungen in Basel

Zusammenfassung

In diesem Artikel werden zwei Beispiele von sozialen urbanen Bewegungen der Schweizer Stadt Basel nachgezeichnet und im Kontext der lokalen Stadtentwicklungspolitik diskutiert. Beide Bewegungen waren die Folge einer geplanten Überbauung von öffentlichen Grünflächen. Im Fall des Landhofs handelte es sich um eine Grünfläche in einem dicht bebauten ehemaligen Arbeiterquartier, im Fall der Familiengärten sollten 20 Hektar von Familiengartenland (verteilt auf drei Areale) als Bauland für neue Wohn- und Parkprojekte in der Stadt Basel dienen.
