Zusammenfassung
Während die Forschung zum Internationalen Management sich vor allem mit zunehmender Internationalisierung befasst – so mit Fragen der Marktwahl, Markteintrittsstrategien, Internationalisierungsprozessen – sind auch Marktaustritte und rückläufige Internationalisierung von Unternehmen keine Seltenheit. Desinvestitionen von Auslandseinheiten sind häufig. Benito zeigte, dass mehr als die Hälfte einer Stichprobe von Auslandseinheiten in 1982 innerhalb von zehn Jahren abgestoßen wurde.
