Zusammenfassung
Die vorliegende Arbeit setzt sich mit der Bedeutung alternativer und komplementärer Ansätze in der Versorgung von schwerkranken und sterbenden Menschen in Hospizarbeit und Palliative Care auseinander. Konkret wird die komplementäre palliative Versorgung in stationären Hospizen in Deutschland in den Blick genommen und die bestehende Praxis der Anwendung und Nutzung alternativer und komplementärer Verfahren exploriert. Als methodischer Rahmen für die qualitative explorative Studie dienten Elemente der ‚Grounded Theory‘ und der ‚Intuitive Inquiry‘. Es wurden insgesamt zwanzig multiperspektivische qualitative Interviews mit Leitenden (n=7), komplementären PraktikerInnen (n=8) und MedizinerInnen (n=5) sowie sechs Gruppendiskussionen mit multiprofessionellen Teams in deutschen Hospizen geführt.
