Zusammenfassung
Inhalt des Beitrages ist die Frage nach den Gründen, warum sich die neue Wirtschaftssoziologie und die Organisationssoziologie „völlig“ aus den Augen verloren haben. Gezeigt wird, dass sich die „neue Wirtschaftssoziologie“ aus den Fesseln der klassischen Soziologie befreien konnte, indem sie handlungsbasierte Erklärungen für das bei Weber angelegte Problem der Bildung sozialer Erwartungen vorlegt. Demgegenüber zeigt sich die Organisationssoziologie geprägt durch die (über-)kritische Abgrenzung vom Verbandsmodell Max Webers. Aus Sicht der neuen Wirtschaftssoziologie wäre der Organisationssoziologie heute eine kritische „Rückbesinnung“ auf Webers Form einer erklärend-verstehenden Soziologie und die Suche nach sozialen Wirkmechanismen in und durch Organisationen anzuraten.
