Abstract

About 5 years ago, the way we looked at Financial Institutions, particularly banks, changed abruptly. Until then, the likelihood that a major investment grade rated bank would default and file for bankruptcy within a short period of time was considered extremely low, at a rate of less than 0.5 % within a 12 months period.
