Zusammenfassung
Handelsunternehmen brauchen mehr als nur akademisch ausgebildete, international erfahrene Manager. Laut Hofmann hat im Handel nur der Erfolg, der auch ein Verständnis für Immobilien, Einkauf, Logistik und Vertriebswege mitbringt. Außerdem muss ein Manager im Handel seine Mitarbeiter gut kennen, und zwar in möglichst vielen Abteilungen und auf allen Ebenen. Nur so sei eine Führungskraft in der Lage, richtige Personalentscheidungen zu treffen.
