Zusammenfassung
„Nur der Tapfere weiß zu kämpfen, der Achtsame zu verteidigen und der Weise zu beraten. So plant der kluge General und es wird kein Talent vergeudet“ (Sun Zi, 400 vor Christus). Um Talente aller Generationen zu fördern und an das Unternehmen zu binden, sind «generationen-spezifische» Angebote nur bedingt zweckmäßig. Kosten und Wirkung stehen in keinem Verhältnis, zumal die Unterschiede zwischen den Generationen bei Lernpräferenzen und -stilen überbrückbar erscheinen. Es gibt jedoch in der Art und Weise der Mediennutzung inter-generationale Unterschiede, die zumindest eine generationen-sensible Personalentwicklung und Karrieregestaltung nahe legen. Grundlegend gilt dabei, aus der Strategie, den kritischen organisatorischen Fähigkeiten und dem Geschäftsmodell das Angebot der Personalentwicklung individualisiert abzuleiten und konsequent auf Flexibilität sowie lebenslanges Lernen zu setzen.
