Zusammenfassung
Dieses Kapitel konzentriert sich auf die technischen Aspekte der Erfassung von Wegedaten. Dabei wird auf unterschiedliche Ortungstechnologien Bezug genommen (WLAN, Bluetooth, Funkzellenortung, HAIP), auf Methoden der Ortung (Winkel-, Laufzeitmessung u.ä.) und auf Anwendungsfälle (Indoor-/Outdoorortung) sowie kurz auf verschiedene Satellitensysteme (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS) eingegangen. Weiterhin werden die spezifischen Anforderungen des Trackings per Smartphone beleuchtet, wie z. B. Akkulaufzeit, Datengenauigkeit und Trackingfrequenz. Schließlich sollen Anforderungen und Ansätze der Identifikation von Wegen, Wegezwecken und Verkehrsmitteln dargestellt werden. Für die Zukunft gilt dabei, dass ein Technologiemix der verschiedenen Ortungsmöglichkeiten das Erfolgsrezept für die Bedienung verschiedener Smartphone-Modelle und Betriebssysteme ist.
