Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff Makrodaktylie umfasst eine Vielzahl inhomogener Krankheitsbilder, die zu einer isolierten, disproportionalen Vergrößerung eines oder mehrerer Finger führen. Es handelt sich um eine sehr seltene, spontan auftretende, meistens einseitige Erkrankung. Die betroffenen Finger zeigen eine nervenbedingte Weichteilverdickung, die zu Achsabweichungen und Bewegungseinschränkungen sowie kosmetischen Problemen führen können. Die Erkrankung muss differenzialdiagnostisch von anderen Formen der Extremitätenvergrößerung wie z. B. fibröser Dysplasie, Klippel-Trénaunay-Syndrom, Maffucci-Syndrom oder Proteus-Syndrom unterschieden werden. In Fällen mit Funktionseinschränkung und/oder inakzeptabler kosmetischer Situation ist eine operative Intervention sinnvoll, auch wenn eine völlige Normalisierung der Kosmetik nicht zu erwarten ist. Gängige operative Maßnahmen umfassen die Strahlresektion, Weichteilreduktionsplastiken, Epiphysiodesen und Verkürzungsosteotomien.
