Zusammenfassung
Skalen zur Messung hypnotherapeutischer Konstrukte, v. a. Suggestibilität, Hypnotisierbarkeit, Imaginationsfähigkeit oder Trancetiefe, haben in der Forschung zur Hypnotherapie einen hohen Stellenwert. Dennoch gibt es besonders in der Praxis Vorbehalte gegen den Einsatz der oftmals zeitintensiven Skalen. Das Kapitel befasst sich mit den theoretischen Grundlagen hypnoserelevanter Konstrukte. Dabei werden aktuelle Befunde zur Anwendung sowie zum Zusammenhang mit dem Erfolg einer hypnotherapeutischen Behandlung berichtet. Das Kapitel gibt einen differenzierten Überblick über bestehende Messverfahren, der bei der Auswahl eines Tests für Forschung oder Praxis unterstützen soll.
