Zusammenfassung

Das Erythema migrans sowie die Lymphadenosis cutis benigna stellen häufige, im Kindes- und Jugendalter beobachtete kutane Zeichen einer Infektion mit dem Bakterium Borrelia burgdorferi dar. Übertragen werden diese Keime durch den Stich einer infizierten Schildzecke. Therapeutisch kommen systemisch gegebene Antibiotika zum Einsatz. Erfolgt die Behandlung unzureichend oder unterbleibt die Therapie gänzlich, kann es zu schwerwiegenden Erkrankungen am Herzen, den Gelenken, den Muskeln, der Leber sowie dem Nervensystem kommen.
