Zusammenfassung

Besteht der Hinweis auf einen Harnblasentumor muss eine transurethrale Resektion der Harnblase (TURB) in Voll- oder Regionalanästhesie durchgeführt werden. Zielsetzung der TURB ist einerseits die vollständige Entfernung des Harnblasentumors (Therapie) und andererseits die Gewinnung von Gewebe zur histopathologischen Beurteilung (Diagnostik). Die Elektroresektion von Harnblasentumoren wird bereits seit den 30er-Jahren des letzten Jahrhunderts durchgeführt. Die Resektionstechnik und Bildgenerierung sowie -übertragung hat sich immer weiter verbessert. Während jahrzehntelang durch das Instrument geschaut werden musste, kann heute das ggf. digitale Bild auf einen Monitor übertragen werden. Zusätzlich zur Weißlichtzystoskopie können Tumoren mittels photodynamischer Diagnostik (PDD) oder Narrow-band-imaging (NBI) besser erkannt werden. Überdies sind neue Resektionstechniken in der Entwicklung.
