Zusammenfassung
Das Fachgebiet „Aufbereitung mineralischer Rohstoffe“ geht bis in die Frühzeit menschlicher Zivilisation zurück. Erze wurden schon vor Beginn der Zeitrechnung wirtschaftlich aufbereitet und Metalle daraus gewonnen. Ein Mann aus Sachsen publizierte einen der ersten wissenschaftlichen Texte zum Thema (Agricola 1556). Die Grundlagen der Freisetzung von wertvollem Material aus dem wertlosen Gestein (Gangmaterial) sowie die nachfolgende Trennung zur Konzentration der Wertbestandteile über diverse physikalische und oberflächenchemische Prozesse sowie die chemischen Eigenschaften der Stoffe sind von Anbeginn die Leitlinien der Entwicklung.
