Zusammenfassung
Der Stabhochsprung ist zweifellos durch einen sehr komplexen Bewegungsablauf charakterisiert. Ist es möglich, sinnvoll und notwendig, diesen Bewegungsablauf in Teilbewegungen (Bewegungsphasen) zu „zerlegen“ und somit zu strukturieren? Welche mechanischen und biologischen Grundlagen sind dafür notwendig? Mit welchen Methoden kann man solche Strukturierungen und Analysen vornehmen und quantifizieren? In diesem Kapitel sollen die Grundlagen zur Beantwortung dieser Fragen geschaffen werden.
Unter Bewegung versteht man die Änderung der Position und/oder Lage eines Körpers im Raum. Bewegungen können nur stattfinden, wenn Kräfte auf den Körper einwirken. Im Fall von Bewegungen des Menschen können das innere Kräfte (zumeist Muskel-Sehnen-Komplexe) oder äußere Kräfte (z. B. Gravitation, Reibung, Zentrifugalkraft) sein. Der menschliche Körper hat durch seine große Anzahl an Gelenken ein hohes Maß an Bewegungsmöglichkeiten (Freiheitsgrade). In Abstimmung mit den äußeren Kräften sind diese Bewegungen das Ergebnis des Zusammenspiels von Zentralnervensystem (supraspinale und spinale Strukturen) und Muskelskelettsystem (Muskeln, Sehnen und Bänder). Daneben sind Bewegungen aber auch durch die Mechanik des Körpers und die Interaktion mit der Umgebung bestimmt. Sowohl für das grundlegende Verständnis als auch für das Lehren und Lernen sportlicher Bewegungen ist es notwendig und hilfreich, diese unter einem strukturellen Aspekt zu betrachten. Die Sportbiomechanik und spezifische Bereiche der Bewegungswissenschaft liefern dafür die einschlägigen Grundlagen und sollen hier aufgearbeitet werden.
