Zusammenfassung
Wasserstoff ist ein Energiespeicher mit Potential und vielfältigen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten in der Wertschöpfungskette. Der Elektrolyseur als Wasserstofferzeuger ist nicht nur eine zuverlässige, flexible und vielfach eingesetzte Anlage, sondern dient dem Ausgleich der zukünftig weiter steigenden Volatiliät unserer Stromversorgung. Technik, Infrastruktur und Regelwerk sind vorhanden und erlauben bereits heute den Bau und Betrieb von Anlagen zur Speicherung großer Energiemengen in Form von Wasserstoff oder synthetischen Methan . Das Kapitel gibt eine Übersicht über die relevanten Verfahren der Elektrolyse, die elektrochemischen Grundlagen und die jeweiligen Anwendungsgebiete. Der aktuelle Stand der Technik sowie neue Entwicklungen und Marktperspektiven werden dargestellt.
