Zusammenfassung

Das persönliche, offene und ehrliche Gespräch mit dem Patienten stellt den wesentlichen Teil vor der Durchführung einer Laserbehandlung dar. Dabei sollten mit dem Patienten eingehend realistische Behandlungsziele, mögliche Komplikationen und Begleitreaktionen besprochen werden. Eine sorgfältige und vollständige Aufklärung sowie (Foto-)Dokumentation sind zum Schutz von Patienten und Arzt unverzichtbar. Korrekte Diagnose und Indikation bestimmen die Auswahl des optimalen Laser- oder IPL-Geräts. Typische Fehlerquellen der Laser- oder IPL-Behandlung sind falsche Wahl des Gerätetyps und der Einstellungsparameter sowie ungenügende Sorgfalt bzw. das Fehlen an praktischer Erfahrung.
