Zusammenfassung
Nach anfänglichen Blockaden und zögerlichem Beginn lässt sich global ein zunehmender Trend zur Integration der Simulation in die medizinische Aus-, Fort- und Weiterbildung sowie in den Kompetenzerwerb und -erhalt beobachten. Es ist nach wie vor ein weiter Weg zu beschreiten, bis die Simulation, also das gezielte Herbeiführen von Situationen zum Erfahrungslernen, ein verbindliches Element in der Medizin wird, aber die Reise hat begonnen.
