Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag stellt die theoretische Entwicklung des sozialen Lernens dar, also des Lernens durch soziale Interaktion. Erste Erklärungsversuche finden sich im Behaviorismus von Watson, Skinner und Pawlow, die äußere Reize und sichtbare Verhaltensänderungen in den Vordergrund stellten. Die Grundlage der behavioristischen Lerntheorie bildet das Prinzip der operanten Konditionierung, wonach sich Verhalten, das belohnt wird, verstärkt. Die Psychologen Bandura und Rotter erweiterten den behavioristischen Ansatz um sozial-kognitive Theorien. Während auf Bandura das Beobachtungslernen zurückgeht, erklärt Rotter das Verhalten durch die Interaktion eines Individuums mit seiner Umwelt. Seligman schließlich erklärte mit seiner Theorie der erlernten Hilflosigkeit, welchen Einfluss die subjektive Kontrolle und die Frage nach Kausalattributionen beim Lernen haben.
