Zusammenfassung
Es gibt eine populäre Erzählung, die in etwa so lautet: Menschen gehen mit festen Vorsätzen und Werten in die Politik. Da werden sie „geschliffen“ und müssen viele Kompromisse eingehen. Dabei gehen ihnen die Werte immer mehr verloren. Sie werden pragmatisch, und am Ende sind sie zwar erfolgreich (im besten Fall), aber nicht mehr wertegebunden. Sie vermögen ihre Macht zu stabilisieren. Sie stehen für erfolgreiche, nicht aber für gute Politik.
