Zusammenfassung
Mit der rasanten Entwicklung vor allem der digitalen Medien und des Internets im späten 20. und beginnenden 21. Jahrhundert hat der klassische Jugendmedienschutz in Deutschland völlig neue Dimensionen und Herausforderungen erfahren. Nach der Einführung eines umfangreichen privatwirtschaft lich organisierten Rundfunksystems in den letzten Dekaden des 20. Jahrhunderts, das z.B. zur Einrichtung eines föderalen Systems von Landesmedienanstalten geführt hat, repräsentiert die Vernetzung und Medienkonvergenz via (mobil zugänglichem) Internet altersgruppenübergreifend einen weiteren Evolutionssprung der heutigen Medienwelt.
