Zusammenfassung
In wissenschaftlichen Studien zu CSR, aber auch der unternehmerischen CSR-Praxis finden NGOs oder NPOs nur wenig Beachtung. Dabei handelt es sich um Organisationen, die oftmals weder eindeutig als Profit- noch Nonprofit-Organisation, weder als Unternehmen noch eindeutig als NGO eingestuft werden. Diese als „intermediäre Organisationen“ abgegrenzten und darauf aufbauend als Regisseure eines gesellschaftlichen CSR-Diskurses konzeptualisierten Akteure nehmen in zwei Dimensionen einen besonderen Stellenwert ein: erstens, wenn es um die Thematisierung und Diffusion von Nachhaltigkeit als gesellschaftlichem Leitwert geht; zweitens bei der Vernetzung von Wirtschaft, Politik und anderen gesellschaftlichen Institutionen und der Etablierung von Leitlinien beziehungsweise Benchmarks für verantwortliches Handeln von Wirtschaft und Politik. Im Rahmen des folgenden Beitrags wird gezeigt, welches Potenzial eine Auseinandersetzung mit Organisationen wie CSR-Netzwerken, CSR-Councils oder Wirtschaftsethik-Plattformen als neue, intermediäre Organisationsformen bietet. Die folgenden Ausführungen mit einem Analysebeispiel aus Österreich zeigen, dass gerade im Themenfeld CSR bzw. Nachhaltigkeit eine Wechselwirkung zwischen der Etablierung dieser „intermediären Organisationen“ und der Etablierung eines öffentlichen Diskurses um gesellschaftliche Verantwortung von Unternehmen besteht.
