Zusammenfassung

John Rawls legt 1971 keine allgemeine Theorie der Gerechtigkeit vor. Solche formulieren Prinzipien der Gerechtigkeit, die sich (indirekt) auf alles Mögliche beziehen lassen. Mehrfach betont auch Rawls, vieles könne gerecht oder ungerecht genannt werden, z. B. Personen oder Handlungen. Ihn interessiert jedoch soziale Gerechtigkeit als „erste Tugend sozialer Institutionen“.
