Moores Lehrstuhl; zahlreiche Arbeitsunterbrechungen durch freiwillige Kriegs- und Krankenhausdienste sowie den mehrmaligen Rückzug, vor allem nach Norwegen und Irland, zum Zweck philosophischer Studien; Auseinandersetzung mit Sprachphilosophie und Philosophie der Mathematik, Psychologie und Ästhetik; in einer Reihe konkurrierender Interpretationen schulbildend sowohl für den Logischen Empirismus als auch die spätere Analytische Philosophie; von immer noch wachsender Bedeutung auch für Pragmatismus, Konstruktivismus, Phänomenologie, Existenzphilosophie und Philosophie des Geistes.
