Wir sprechen von Tatsachen und denken so etwas wie: »Es ist eine Tatsache, dass es auf dem Mond kein Leben gibt, und diese Tatsache ist bedauerlich.« Oder: »Die Tatsache, dass es im Haus brannte, war der Grund dafür, dass Derek aus dem Fenster sprang.
