Politische Philosophie (PP) bildet in den platonischen Schriften eines der großen und wiederholt behandelten Themen. Bereits im Frühdialog Kriton lässt Platon seinen Sokrates eine politische Argumentation vortragen, der zufolge man den staatlichen Gesetzen unbedingten Gehorsam schuldet (50a–54d).
