Abstract
In the project “Mittelstand 4.0 Competence Center Darmstadt”, an assistance system was developed, which automatically adapts to the individual adjustment of working height, reach and the provision of tools and materials with the help of anthropometric employee data. The data is read in via RFID card. This assistance system has now been evaluated in a study. In addition to reviewing the change in physical loads.
For evaluation, 30 subjects performed a typical assembly activity with and without the support of the assistance system. Using motion capturing, based on the Captiv system of the company TEA ergonomics, the posture was determined without and with the adjustment of the assistance system. For this purpose, the movements of selected parts of the body were analyzed and evaluated. In addition, an interview was conducted to investigate how the users perceived the adjustment of the assistance system and where they saw room for improvement.
