Abstract
Educational virtual reality applications were developed to highlight animal cruelty in the livestock production industry using Unity 3D Engine with C# scripts and HTC Vive headsets. Users were subjected to pre and post virtual reality assessments to measure their knowledge concerning the topic and their feelings regarding the application. They scored an average of 22.54% for pre-assessment and 65.62% for post-assessment; 86.7% felt better informed after the application, 70% felt entertained, and nobody was bored. Future improvements regarding application components and expansion of applicable topics are planned.
