Abstract
The use of energy and its various sources is becoming an increasingly important issue in the management of an industrial enterprise. The growing importance of this element is related to its significant share in the costs of running a business, a high impact on the natural environment and the increasing number of laws regulating this subject. Also International Standardization Organization noticed the problem of power consumption in companies and published of the ISO 50001 energy management standard. Presented research shows the state of energy management and awareness in SME enterprises in Poland in the years 2014–2016.
