Abstract

This work shows an approach of the current rescue procedure. It examines the case of rescue by aeronautical means in Hellenic Republic territory. The proposed reengineering of the procedure tries to propose solutions or optimization to current problems on issues like adequacy of resources, money expenditures, and time limitations on rescue situations. The significance of solving or optimize such issues is profound regarding the human life part. In addition to that the proposal of this work has a trifold target, the first part is the economical, the second is the public resource management, and the third is the application of technological solutions in such cases. The core innovation of this research is on both three targets and the collaboration of them. The modeling of rescue procedure, reengineering, and adoption of technology can change the whole rescue procedure and reducing time and cost. There is a profound money and resource spending in aerial transfers in Hellenic Republic rescue procedures. Up to now previous works are based only to traditional reengineering with tradition writing and an electronic way of observing one rescue situation. A combination of methods is provided for verification and includes proposed methods and models through the presentation of the business procedure of aerial search and rescue by means of a combination of Information Computer Tools, Bizagi Process Modeller, and Ms. Project and use of already available technological solutions. The already existing situation is presented, followed by a suggestion of reorganizing its procedure and the corresponding technologies that can be used. This work also provides the methodology and tools to support the operations in discuss as well as any documentation, registration, and report of the descripted procedures.
