Abstract

Neoplastic or tumorlike conditions are rare in the fetus and newborn, but pose important diagnostic and therapeutic problems for pediatricians and oncologists, as well as provoking enormous emotional burdens on parents and caregivers. They also present significant medical and ethical dilemmas.
