Abstract
This scientific review provides a comprehensive overview of the methods of non-linear control applied to Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSMs). PMSMs are widely used in various industrial applications due to their high efficiency and precise control capabilities. Traditional linear control techniques have been successful in many cases; however, they may face limitations in handling the complex dynamics and non-linearity inherent to PMSMs. To overcome these challenges, researchers have developed non-linear control methods that exploit the advantages of advanced control theories. This review highlights the principles, advantages, and limitations of various non-linear control techniques for PMSMs, shedding light on the most promising avenues for future research and practical implementation.
