AI and Blockchain for Cyber Security in Cyber-Physical System

AI Models for Blockchain-Based Intelligent Networks in IoT Systems

Abstract

The convergence of communication networks among devices and systems is the focus of much recent technological innovation and development. CPS has a wide range of applications, such as in industrial control systems and important industries including healthcare and electricity production. As CPS with internet networks become more integrated, security breaches and vulnerabilities arise. Blockchain technology and artificial intelligence are expanding quickly in both business and daily uses. The real-time processing of data across several information systems is a bottleneck in centralised systems and applications, such as healthcare. Blockchain’s decentralized database management system, protect data storage, data interchange, and authentication would be able to address this issue. In addition to the blockchain, AI may offer perceptions from the collective data that is acquired and applied to foresee the future. Blockchain is indeed a cutting-edge security technology which, through mutual agreements between nodes, creates chains that chronologically link the new block to the previously stored blocks in nodes. The rise of numerous businesses, including banking, finance, cybersecurity, forecasting, healthcare, cryptocurrencies, etc., is accelerated by technology convergence. The threat of hacking such systems increases as more digital technologies are used and services are offered by these companies. Artificial intelligence and blockchain technology working together can create a robust safeguard opposing such attack and protection risks. This chapter will explore how blockchain technology and artificial intelligence are collaborating to enhance cybersecurity. We’ll go into more detail about how they help secure cyber-physical systems.
