Artificial Intelligence of Things for Smart Green Energy Management

Part of the book series: Studies in Systems, Decision and Control ((SSDC,volume 446))

Abstract

Internet of Things (IoT) offers global networking of diverse IoT-enabled devices to exchange relevant information, thanks to scientific and technological advances. Tremendous energy needs arise from the frequent interchange of a massive volume of data via the IoT network. The primary goal of green IoT is to alleviate the challenges that come with maintaining a sustainable ecosystem. It has been noted that the sector of IoT-green computing necessitates several important enhancements with large startup costs. It is not readily accessible to everyone in society because of a low level of awareness and technical competence. This chapter highlights the introduction to IoT and green computing by discussing the primary applications of IoT in green computing. Moreover, the challenges and issues related to IoT and green computing are also discussed in this chapter.
