Abstract

In this paper, an efficient localization algorithm is proposed for Mobile Wireless Sensors networks (MWSNs). For many applications, a captured data is useless without information on the position of the source node. Therefore, the localization accuracy is a main challenge for researchers in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs). To improve location estimations and accuracy, this paper discuss some existing localization techniques and presents a novel localization technique for MWSNs. The proposed algorithm is based on senors range and distances to the reference nodes. Then, the ToA and RSSI measures are used to improve the accuracy and to reduce average localization error. Simulation results show that the proposed approach promotes less energy consumption and highest localization accuracy (i.e. the estimated position precision); as well as prove its robustness at different number of anchors.
