Abstract
The rate of adoption of Design Systems (DS) is still at its early stages. DS is relatively new to many organizations and it’s only popular among leading technology companies now. This paper presents theoretical review of the DS concepts including its evolution, benefits, and limitations. The Frost Atomic Design framework is discussed as the theoretical foundation for design systems. A design systems implementation case study is then presented.
