Abstract
This work present a preventive numericsimulation of a four-storey building fire (G+4). To achieve this aims, we used a CFD code named Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) which uses the large Eddy Simulation method to resolve conservative Navier-Stokes equations adapted to the low Mack number, with an emphasis on dispersing smoke and heat released from pool fire located in the Ground floor. To visualized the animated results we using SMOKEVIEW software, such as the temporal evolution of the temperature of the flame and smoke, the thermal functions such as Heat release rate HRR and the thermal radiation.
