Abstract
This chapter comprises an elementary introduction to nanomaterials and covers their green synthesis, their characterization, and high-performance industrial applications, keeping the concept of advanced smart civilization in mind. It exposes all the potential greener synthesis routes of the metal-based nanoparticles and nanocomposites. It will thoroughly explain the role of green chemistry in this smart/modern era, with an inclusive overview of the actual position and proposing variable ways of utilizing nanomaterials for achieving several industrial applications primarily in a sustainable society and minimizing the usage of hazardous substances. It also highlights the function of green chemistry in the fabrication of metals or metal oxides owing to their various usages in energy, textile, and biomedical industrial applications. The chapter also discusses industrial application in the environmental science of green nanomaterials along with their executive efficiencies. It covers the amalgamation of the nanotechnological characterization techniques with the green chemistry synthesis method as the main factor for future advanced research and development. The potential of the green synthesis route and examination of green nanomaterials for industrial commercialization is also discussed.
