Abstract

The term urban regeneration indicates an integrated vision that allows the resolution of urban problems and an improvement in economic, physical, social and environmental conditions of an area prone to transformation. This document aims to describe the importance of interdisciplinarity in spatial planning and, in particular, for urban regeneration processes. The relationship between the parts that make up the society and its urban pattern, between the public and private entities that determine and transform it. The importance of the holistic approach to urban regeneration lies in the ability to read complexity and decline it through skills. Urban quality passes through the quality of life of its residents, where quality of life means: accessibility, environmental sustainability, social inclusion and labor economics. today essential elements of life quality and urban space.
