Abstract
Radiofrequency ablation is the best validated and studied ablation method for dysplastic Barrett’s esophagus. However, alternative ablation methods are becoming more widespread and can be useful in areas where RFA is not available. This review will focus on argon plasma coagulation and cryoablation as potential alternatives. We describe the technical aspects and rationale. Available data are summarized and put in perspective.
