Abstract
The expression “digital economy” appeared relatively recently, but it has already become stable and generally accepted. However, the question of what exactly should be understood by the digital economy remains open. It is also not entirely clear whether this turnover corresponds to the meaning embodied in it.
The article is dedicated to determining with the help of the analysis of the essence and goals of what digital economy or digitalization of the economy means. What is it - a fundamentally new applied toolkit, a transcendental phenomenon or a qualitatively new state of the macroeconomic system?
