Abstract
Multiplexed LED arrays are important for the design of large scale displays used in indoor and outdoor applications. Novel brightness control technique - Splitted PWM is proposed in the paper. This technique preserves turn–on time for LED that is not achieved in BCM technique and reduces the number of comparisons required for light modulation. Overall system was implemented on xCORE 200 processor and tested on 192 \(\times \) 96 display. Memory organization is considered also, with quad buffering of UDP/IP transmitted video stream.
