Abstract

According to three-opening overflow spillway complex flow problems in ZhuangLi Reservoir based on FLUENT software, Using RNG-κ-ε double-equation turbulence model and Volume of Fluid (VOF) method simulate the 2-D and 3-D Gas-liquid two-phase flow of spillway in different working conditions, using PISO algorithm to solve the discrete equations. Simulated the Gas-liquid two-phase flow velocity field, the pressure field distribution, the mixed aerated concentration and other characteristic parameters surface in the different conditions, analyses spillway capacity and comparing with the results of hydraulic model test, and combination with the results of hydraulic model test verify the reliability, rationality of the various hydraulic parameters calculated by the numerical model, more accurate and comprehensive reflect the spillway flow distribution, The hydraulic parameters are in good agreement, which indicates that the numerical model is practical in engineering practice. It can provide a reliable basis for the hydraulic design of the ZhuangLi Reservoir spillway.
