Abstract
Law and economics scholars are rarely addressing traditional legal theory. Nevertheless, legal theory could help to better assess the limits of “law and economics” and law and economics the limits of legal theory. Moreover, legal positivism largely paved the way for the emergence of law and economics. This entry will stress the points of convergence and the complementarities between these two approaches.
