Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of lane keeping systems (LKS). First, a general architecture is introduced common to both existing and future LKS, along with a description of the used sensors and actuators. Then, the threat assessment and the lane position control problems are discussed highlighting challenges, existing solutions, and future directions.
